In Logic54, you can designate a route as Aid-in-Lieu (AIL). When a route is marked AIL, all students assigned to that route are automatically marked as AIL as well — this allows you to update all students on a route at once, rather than updating each student record individually.
How to Designate a Route as AIL
- Navigate to the bus route you'd like to designate as AIL.
- In the AIL field, select Yes from the dropdown.
The route and all assigned students are now marked as AIL.
Why Can't I Change AIL on a Student Record?
A student's AIL designation is controlled by their assigned route, not the student record itself. Because the route and its students are linked, the AIL field on individual student records is not editable directly. To change a student's AIL status, you must update the AIL designation on their assigned route.
Removing an AIL Designation
If a route should no longer be AIL, or if it was marked AIL by mistake, simply select No from the AIL dropdown. The route and all assigned students will be updated accordingly.
